How long does therapy last?
Sessions are 50 minutes in duration.
How much does therapy cost?
Individual therapy sessions are $165. Family sessions are $185. Group Therapy sessions are available at $185.
Do you offer free consultation?
Yes, we offer a free 15-minute consultation that allows you to connect with the therapist, ask questions, and get a sense of whether it feels like the right fit before beginning therapy.
Do you offer virtual therapy?
Yes, virtual therapy sessions are available and are conducted via a secure video platform.
What can I expect from therapy?
Therapy is a supportive, judgement-free space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. Your therapist will work collaboratively with you to help you gain insight, set goals, and create meaningful change.
Do I need to prepare for my therapy session?
There is no need to prepare anything in advance as your therapist will help guide the conversation. However, you’re welcome to bring in topics, questions, or reflections you’d like to explore during the session.
Who can benefit from therapy?
Therapy can be helpful for everyone. You do not need to be in crisis or have a mental health diagnosis or referral to seek support. People come to therapy for many reasons, including stress,
relationship challenges, life transitions, self-esteem, grief, anxiety, depression, and personal growth.
How long will I need to be in therapy?
The duration of therapy varies depending on your goals, the nature of your concerns, and how often you can attend sessions. Some clients benefit from short-term therapy while others may choose to continue for a longer period.
Are therapy services covered by insurance?
Melissa is a Registered Social Worker (BSW, RSW), and her services are covered by most insurance plans. However, we do recommend verifying with your insurance provider to confirm your eligibility. We will provide you with a detailed receipt after each session to submit for reimbursement.
Do you offer direct billing for insurance?
At this time, we do not offer direct billing. Clients are responsible for payment at the time of the session and can submit their receipt to their insurance provider for reimbursement.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept debit and credit card payments. Payment is required at the time of your appointment.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments are subject to half the session fee.
